Would we be a Colorado destination without a list of local breweries? Here’s where you can stop to sample some the best hometown brews.

 

Dry Dock Brewing Company

North Dock Location: 2801 Tower Road

South Dock Location: 15120 E. Hampden Ave

A legendary brewery with an iconic Apricot Blonde Ale, what’s not to love? Dry Dock Brewing Company is often a first stop among locals and travelers alike. Their original location, South Dock, has more than a dozen original brews on tap and a laid-back outdoor patio. If you love what you taste, they distribute colorful cans across Colorado.

What they’re known for: The multiple award-winning Apricot Blonde Golden Ale and their versatile taproom, complete with the one stop homebrew shop, Brew Hut.

 

Launch Pad Brewery

884 S Buckley Rd.

This “Neighborhood Nano Brewery” is jam-packed with beers that are out of this world! Launch Pad Brewery, located in Aurora near the Buckley Air Force Base has a wide array of beers that are as they say, “Ready for Lift Off”. Try a Patriot Pale Ale or Trinity Belgian Triple. You won’t be disappointed! For the adventurous beer drinker, we suggest their Amicita, an aged ale with a kick from whiskey.

What they’re known for: A 9.1% ale aged in whiskey barrels, but it’s not around long!

 

Peak To Peak Tap & Brew

16701 E. Iliff Ave.

This classic brewpub and tap room has a variety of lagers, ambers, stouts, taproom food and more. Peak to Peak Tap & Brew’s mug club is quite the deal for any beer enthusiast. Members are rewarded with a customized stein, discount drafts, and other perks. So, if you’re sticking around Aurora awhile, this is the deal for you.

What they’re known for: German-style pretzels combined with an awesome Mug Club.

 

Ursula Brewery

2101 N Ursula St. Unit 10

Located near the Anschutz Medical Campus, Ursula Brewery is in an ideal location for students and locals alike. Barrel-aged and specialty drafts remain at the top of the list, their year-round drafts are full of flavor and variety you’d expect. If you’re looking for an off the beat brew, fill a pint with their “Colorado Buckeye”, a Peanut Butter Chocolate Imperial Stout or Fresh Hop Via Chicago, a traditional Pale Ale. Either way, you’ll be impressed.

What they’re known for: Unique stouts and perfect access to the Aurora R Line light rail.

 

Cheluna Brewing Company

2501 Dallas St. Suite 148

Located inside Stanley Marketplace, the Cheluna Brewing Company pours Latin and European style drafts. Grab a to-go dinner from the Stanley and enjoy Cheluna’s weekend live music. The Lowrider Mexican Lager has a hint of lime that’s a real hit with the casual beer drinker.

What they’re known for: A fun after-hours atmosphere with live music.

 

Dad & Dudes Breweria

6730 S Cornerstar Way, Ste D

Founded in 2010 by the Hembree father and son duo, Dad & Dudes Breweria serves up exceptional handcrafted pizza and beer. The family-friendly brewpub has it all, handmade pizzas, salads, wings along with excellent beer. It’s the perfect dinner and drinks place.

What they’re known for: Excellent handcrafted beer and pizza pairings.

 

Pale Rail Ale Station

3596 Moline St. #101

This farm to glass taproom is worth mentioning! Located only a short distance from the RTD Lightrail, it’s easy to access from downtown Denver and beyond. This relatively new brewery combines beer with natural local ingredients to create delicious meals and parings.

What they’re known for: The farm to table concept, this place is supplied from a local Aurora farm.
