Royal Gorge, the world's highest suspension bridge (see photo, left) spans the Arkansas River at a height of 1,050 feet/320 meters. Admission includes an aerial tram trip and rides on the world's steepest incline railway to the bottom of the Gorge.

Rocky Mountain High: Rocky Mountain National Park

Estes Park, an attractive resort village at the edge of the national park, this small town has shops, restaurants and flower gardens. Ideally suited for motor coach tours with motor coach drop off stations and parking in town.

Rocky Mountain National Park, one of the most scenic spots in North America, offers an opportunity to travel above timberline on Trail Ridge Road, the highest continuous highway in the nation. The highway is usually only open from May until late October due to snow; the rest of the park is open year-round. Wildlife viewing, hiking trails, fishing, mountain lakes, and meadows of wildflowers, horseback riding and camping are just some of the attractions.

Stanley Hotel, a 1909 historic hotel that inspired Stephen King to write The Shining (the 1997 television movie version was filmed here), the hotel sits in a dramatic location at the base of the mountains.

Aerial Tramway, offers panoramic views of Long's Peak and Rocky Mountain National Park.


Golden Colorado

Buffalo Bill Museum & Grave, Colorado Railroad Museum, Coors Brewing Company, Geology Museum, Heritage Square, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, is one of the world's greatest outdoor concert venues. 70 million-year-old red rock cliffs have been transformed into an acoustically perfect amphitheatre seating 9,000. A summer concert series has featured all the top names in rock and country, from the Beatles to Bruce Springsteen. During the day, the park offers hiking trails, panoramic views of the rocks and Denver, a gift shop and picnic spots.
