Get ready! The 2018 Stanley Arts Festival produced by CherryArts is happening this weekend with free activities and gallery showings beginning at 10 AM Sept. 8.

100 NATIONAL ARTISTS
Discover the works of 100 national juried artists whose creations are bursting with creativity. Artist at the Stanley Arts Festival will exhibit in 13 different disciplines of art including ceramics, mixed media, digital media, photography, metalworks, jewelry, drawing, painting and more. Explore the entire list of artists here. Forty-nine of the featured artists are Colorado-based, with thirty-four new additions this year! Learn more about some of the locals:

AURORA ARTISTS
Shara Oliman
Mixed Media Artist

Shara creates art through upcycling. Using small scraps of magazines, Shara’s artwork reflects beautiful places and the natural world. Shara’s art also incorporates other mediums including watercolor paint. You can enjoy her pieces at both #52.

Shane Porter
Ceramics Artist

Shane’s ceramics showcase intricate glazing techniques that are truly one-of-a-kind. His work includes mugs, vases, teapots, and bowls. Aside from houseware items, Shane also creates lawn ornaments, bird figurines, and more. You can enjoy his works at booth #62.

JUST FOR KIDS
Stanley Arts Festival is for the whole family to enjoy! Bring along the kids to discover this year’s Creation Station, a world of underwater adventures. There are games and artistic activities designed to engage the mind of the youngest of artists! Enjoy an instrument petting zoo, spinning marker art, collaborative mural, seashell jewelry making, and even intro to karate. All activities at the Creation Station are free and open to the public.

SUPPORTING LOCAL ART & COMMUNITY
Stanley Arts Festival showcases some of the best artists in and around Colorado. Meet and greet with artists while uncovering a world of creativity. Stick around for local food trucks including Top Dawg Sausages, Dude Bro Taco, and Peak Pops.
