Your Guide to Spending Fall in Aurora
Whether you’re in Aurora for an afternoon or even a long weekend, here are a few ways you can spend your time indulging in everything Fall.
Preparing for Halloween requires the perfect carving pumpkin. Make your way out to May Farms located just outside the Aurora city limits. Each weekend in October, they’re celebrating an annual harvest fest complete with pumpkin patches and more. If you’re entertaining a group, Mile High Farms in Bennett has something for everyone (corn mazes included)!
Take advantage of the PSL weather by enjoying some local treats! Yum Yum Cake & Pastries has beautifully designed sweets that pair nicely with in-house tea. Or try out New York Bakery, a Korean-style bakery specializing in pastries, cakes, and even bread.
When in Colorado, right? The iconic Dry Dock Brewing Co. just released their annual “Docktoberfest”, a German Style Marzen Lager bound to have you feeling the season. You can also stop by Ursula Brewery for a taster of their “Oktave”, an Oktoberfest collaboration with the Denver Philharmonic Orchestra. You’ll probably want the 22 oz. afterwards!
Fall in the mountains can be a little chilly, so it’s best to be prepared! The Goose & the Goat inside the Stanley Marketplace offers unique hats, scarves, and even long socks in both men and women’s styles. You can also head out to the Southlands if you’re looking to give your fall wardrobe a total makeover, they have everything from designer brands to clothing, shoes and more. Bonus, there are even outdoor fire pits complete with seating outside a variety of the Southland stores.
Between the changing leaves and prairie grass, you’ll see Aurora’s fall colors in full swing.
