Find the Best Ice Cream

Who doesn't want a sweet treat!? Aurora is filled with more than a dozen ice cream locations that will leave everyone pleased. Try something classic like Sweet Cow Ice Cream inside Stanley Marketplace, or go for something creative like Snowl On Havana Street. Aurora has a long list of sweet treats; find the best locations here.

Participate in a local run

If your town will have a 5k fun run this spring or summer, why not train for it and participate? Even the most hesitant runners can succeed using approaches like the Couch to 5K program, which slowly builds from no running to running a 5K in just six to 12 weeks. Here are some upcoming 5Ks within 50 miles of Aurora.

Plan a creative picnic

You don't need to spend a lot of money on food or specific "picnic" items; simply grab some snacks from the cupboard and an old blanket and head to a favorite park in Aurora with friends to enjoy nature.

Volunteer for your community

Volunteering is both free and rewarding. Delivering meals to the elderly, arranging a neighborhood cleaning, reloading your local community fridge, and other activities are all possibilities. Keep a lookout for volunteer opportunities from Village Exchange Center.

Sounds of Southlands

Relish the long days and clear, vibrant evenings by enjoying local music in Town Square. Some of the city’s most talented musicians return to Southlands for our summer concert series! Find more information here.
