The City of Aurora’s 19th Annual Punkin Chunkin is home to pumpkins that fly high in the sky. Walk the festival grounds Saturday and Sunday to enjoy family activities, live music, food trucks, and of course the yearly pumpkin launching competition.


Plan your visit to Punkin Chunkin 2018. Discover kids activities including a petting zoo, pony rides, bounce house, and a giant slide. Enjoy your favorite seasonal activities like pumpkin picking, gigantic gourds, and pumpkin carving. You can even view classic Corvettes at the on-site car show.

Come hungry! There will be food vendors, sweet treats, and a beer garden on site. All of the activities below are included in general admission.


Since 1998, Aurora has hosted to the nation’s largest pumpkin launching competition. Punkin Chunkin places launchers into two categories; air-pressured and spring-loaded. Visitors from around the United States compete and watch pumpkins fly over 3,000 ft. Want to learn more about the launchers? Check out this recap from last year. Grab your seats! Watch in awe as international artists create one-of-a-kind artwork from tree logs using chainsaws! Attend Carve Wars, a competition where artists go head to head creating designs.
