A weekend with nearly 100 exhibiting artists, live entertainment, and creativity is happening September 15-17 at the Stanley Marketplace in Aurora.
The annual CherryArts Festival at Stanley, produced by the Cherry Creeks Arts Festival, is showcasing some of the best artists in Colorado and beyond. Here’s what you can expect:
The festival is packed with everything when it comes to exhibiting artist. Festival-goers can engage with any of the 13 different media categories. From drawing and ceramics to jewelry and printmaking, there are plenty of projects to view. Other categories include photography, mixed media, glass, and more. Of the dozens of artists to be featured at the festival, 44 of them are Colorado-based. You’ll see stunning jewelry pieces by Denver’s Lisa Ben-Zeev and the excellent photography of Aurora’s own Armando Pedroso.
Kids will be able to capture their inner artist at the Creative Station, otherwise known as the art playground. Fun for the whole family, the Creative Station is equipped with lots of art activities. In years past, plenty of kids and their families were able to enjoy a painting a collaborative mural, designing watercolor postcards, and even making their own masks.

Geared for the whole family to enjoy, it will include culinary favorites, mimosas, live music and an interactive take-home art activity for the kids to enjoy. All proceeds will go towards supporting art education. Jump on this one quick, tickets can be purchased here for adults and kids 7 years-old and up.
When it’s not at the festival, the Mobile Art Gallery tours around Colorado’s schools, public libraries, and community centers engaging students across the state. It’s designed to offer kids and adults with an introduction to the visual arts while showcasing original pieces. The gallery features local artists, many of whom will be exhibiting additional pieces at the festival.
