From IPAs to seasonal beers we can't get enough of, discover the craft brews from more than six different Aurora-based breweries.
Summer has arrived in Aurora! When planning your next vacation, make time to enjoy an opportunity to unwind with a seasonal beer. Here’s where you can try new flavors. Visit each brewery's website to discover a full-range of seasonals and beers on tap.
Sip on something fruity at Dry Dock Brewing Company. The newly released, Raspberry Blonde mimics the flavor profile of their beloved Apricot Blonde. It’s a misty golden ale with a crisp, clean finish made with raspberry puree. It’s available on tap at both locations throughout the summer. Dry Dock Brewing Company also released a Hazy IPA, a beer with aromas a passion fruit, pineapple, and freshly squeezed orange juice. This American IPA has a hoppy flavor but is shy on bitterness, making it a smooth summer beer for craft connoisseurs.
If you love piña coladas on a summer day, then Aurora’s Launch Pad Brewery has something for you! Try the Bikini Atoll, a Belgian Golden Ale with ringing notes of pineapple and coconut. Available in 5oz and 13oz drafts, you’ll feel the sand between your toes. Or grab something a little tart in flavor. Global Reach is an American blonde ale with bursts of passionfruit. This classic beer is paired with a unique summer flavor, making it perfect for sipping in the sunshine.
After a long day of shopping at Southlands Lifestyle Center, walk over to Bent Barley Brewing Company to try local summer flavors. The What’s Up Doc? is a milkshake-style IPA made in conjunction with Launch Pad Brewery. Milkshake IPAs are made with lactose, which gives it that distant milkshake flavor. This brew has the seasonings of fresh carrots, walnuts, vanilla beans and spice. If you’re looking for something less experimental, try the Half-Bent Session IPA made with three different hops. Coined as a “super crushable” beer, this will please casual drinkers looking to dive into the world of IPAs.
Live like a local and stop by one (or both) Peak to Peak Tap & Brew locations in Aurora. This friendly neighborhood micro-brewery hosts dozens of summertime events that pair perfectly with new releases. Try the 47 Ronin, and IPL (India Pale Lager) that’s Japanese-inspired beer with notes of lemon zest. Or go fruity with the Mango Wheat. This fruit beer is loaded with fresh mango to create that "sweet combined with a little tart" flavor.
Combine the best parts of champagne and beer in the experimental brew from Cheluna Brewing Company. Located inside Stanley Marketplace, Cheluna Brewing Company has a Brut Rosé IPA, an aromatic and dry IPA with flavors of apricot, grapefruit, and cherry all wrapped into one beer. Try something a little different with the Chupaguava Blonde Ale, made with real tropical guava to add an extra boost of flavor to each sip.
Taste beers from amateur brewers and other local breweries at Pilothouse Brewing Company. This neighborhood-style brewhouse has 32 taps, weekly food trucks, and an outdoor patio. Try Pilothouse’s own American Light Lager for easy summer drinking. Or go for something a little stronger with the Norwegian Farmhouse Ale. Before visiting, check their tap list online to discover which beers to grab before they're gone.
This summer, Ursula Brewery celebrates five years in business! Aside from their celebration on May 25th, you can try their limited edition, Maluhia, a pineapple hibiscus sour that’s bound to tap into some tropical vibes. Visitors can also sip on their classic Lithium Sunset, a Helles Lager with hints of lemon and spice that make it easy to enjoy on their outdoor patio.
