Visit Aurora Promotes Two Longstanding Employees to Vice President

AURORA, Colo., Dec. 6th, 2021 – Visit Aurora is proud to announce the appointment of Justin Clark and Randi Morritt to vice president roles within the organization. Both promotions result from their long-term commitment and exemplary success in developing Aurora as a premier destination for meeting, convention, and leisure travel. Both Clark and Morritt have demonstrated leadership and excellence within the industry over their combined fourteen years with the organization.

Now serving as the vice president of sales and services, Clark joined the organization as the director of sales in 2013. “In the past eight years, Justin has developed a track record of building high-performing sales teams,” said Bruce Dalton, president and chief executive officer for Visit Aurora. “He has developed and cultivated deep relationships within our hotel and hospitality community. His passion and knowledge of Aurora have been vital to Visit Aurora’s growth as an organization.”

Earlier this year, Clark was named the 2020 Peak Performer Individual of the Year by Destination Colorado, a collaborative state-wide marketing association that caters to meeting planners and incentive buyers. Clark also serves as a board member for Destination Colorado, Colorado Meetings + Events editorial advisory board, Colorado Freedom Memorial, and volunteers with many other local non-profits.

Morritt was promoted to the role of vice president of marketing and administration in December 2021. She previously served as the director of marketing, a promotion from director of communications during her tenure with Visit Aurora, which began in 2015. Dalton shared, “Starting as a rookie in her career, Randi has consistently been a strong leader capable of taking on greater responsibilities and executing on the details. She has played an essential role in growing all areas of our marketing efforts both nationally and locally,” said Dalton.

Morritt’s efforts not only earned her several promotions but also respective national and international acknowledgments. Most recently, Morritt was recognized in the 2021 class of Emerging Leaders by U.S. Travel Association to support the Destinations Council and its grassroots advocacy and tourism efforts. Morritt was also selected as Destinations International’s 2018 “30 Under 30” class.

“Recognizing talent and committing to talent development is something Visit Aurora takes very seriously,” said Visit Aurora board chair, Rick Crandall. “Watching Justin and Randi rise in the ranks and elevate our status as a destination has been a joy, to say the least. We are overwhelmed with pride and gratitude for everything the team at Visit Aurora has done, and we cannot wait to see them flourish in their new roles.”
