DENVER BURGER BATTLE
When: August 1
Where: Stanley Marketplace

Find the best burger in the metro area at the annual Denver Burger Battle at Stanley Marketplace. With more than two dozen contenders, guests will be able to try creative, yet classic twists on beef burgers. Festival-goers are also encouraged to vote for their favorite. Grab your tickets early.

AURORA PRIDE
When: August 3
Where: Aurora Reservoir

Soak up the sun and hit the beach at Aurora Pride. New to the Aurora Reservoir, this event is family-friendly and will feature food trucks, vendors, drag performances, beach volleyball, and an appearance by RuPaul Drag Race Allstar, Alaska 5000. This is a free event but does require a parking pass.

HOPS IN THE HANGAR
When: August 10
Where: Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum

Enjoy locally brewed beers in a WWII-era hangar during the annual Hops in the Hangar event hosted by Wings Over the Rockies. This year, visitors can explore the hangar, taste dozens of beers, listen to live music, and purchase food on-site. Grab your tickets soon.

GLOBAL FEST 2019
When: August 17
Where: Aurora Municipal Center

As Colorado’s most diverse city, Aurora celebrates cultures from around the world during the annual Global Fest. This admission-free event brings together the food, art, culture, and music of countries from across the globe. Enjoy music and dance from two different stages, global eats, and vendors. FREE ON HAVANA CONCERT
When: August 27
Where: On Havana Street Business Improvement District

Listen to the summer sounds of Tunisia during a free outdoor concert hosted by On Havana Street. Described as a high-energy group with R&B, Disco, Hip Hop, and Jazz roots, Tunisia brings a fresh take to live performances. Get there early! The first 400 attendees will receive a frozen treat for free.

GET STARTED ON YOUR AURORA BREWERY TOUR

Celebrate the 4th annual Aurora Brewery Tour during your visit to the city. Download your passport for this self-guided tour of more than ten different craft beer, wine, and mead locations. Purchase a beverage, get a stamp, and collect a commemorative glass. Aurora’s breweries and cideries are award-winning, locally, and nationally. Learn more about the tour online.

BREAKFAST IN WONDERLAND

Bring the kids for an immersive Alice in Wonderland themed breakfast with Alice, the White Rabbit, and the Mad Hatter. Hosted by Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center, Breakfast in Wonderland is an interactive character breakfast buffet that serves a variety of morning favorites and is open to everyone on Saturdays and Sundays from 7:30 AM to 10:00 AM throughout August. CATCH A MOUNTAIN SUNSET

As summer begins to slow down, check another item off your bucket list. With Rocky Mountain views and 300 days of sunshine, Aurora is an ideal location for watching the sun dip behind the mountain backdrop. Some popular sunset viewing spots include Cherry Creek State Park and High Line Canal Trail. If you’d like to pair your sunset with a beverage, head over to Bent Barley Brewing Company at Southlands to enjoy the setting sun on their upstairs outdoor patio.
