Honor the legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with the City of Aurora during the 40th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Commemoration in January 2026. Guided by this year’s theme, “I Am the Dream,” the community is invited to take part in a series of free, inspiring events that celebrate service, unity and Dr. King’s enduring impact. The commemoration includes service projects, an opening celebration and prayer vigil, an interfaith breakfast, youth and family programming, a wreath-laying ceremony, and the 2026 MLK Marade. Join Aurora in reflecting, serving, and continuing Dr. King’s vision of justice and hope for all.
