This is not a class where you thoroughly learn how to fly just yet, but you will learn the hows and whys of flight, tour the museum, and even get the chance to step into some simulators. Tattered Cover Kids at Stanley Marketplace offers a Spanish-speaking storytime every third Sunday of the month! This is a fun, educational, and interactive event to bring together native speakers and maybe some kiddos that are still learning the language.
The Pond at Southlands Shopping Center is still open throughout the whole month of January! Visitors can rent skates on-site and enjoy the ice underneath the twinkling lights. There is a small admission fee and remember to purchase tickets in advance.
