Go for a Walk

It's as simple as getting out of bed and moving. Even if you don't live near any huge mountains or hills, walking is one of the most low-impact, effective exercises. While walking through the woods and boosting your cardiovascular fitness, take in the beauty of springtime. Check out all the Aurora trails here.

Plan A Picnic

It's easy, fun, and a great way to spend quality time with someone special while enjoying the great outdoors. Pack a healthy lunch and take a walk to Aurora's greatest picnic spot; you'll be on your way to mental and physical wellness.

Go to the Zoo

The Denver Zoo is a wonderful place to visit, especially in the spring, when the majority of the animals give birth to their new babies. Walking around the zoo is a workout in and of itself, especially in the heat. Be on the look for Denver Zoo-free days!

Hit the Golf Course

Golf provides a stimulating mental challenge combined with a healthy walk in pleasant surroundings and can be played by people of all abilities and ages. Many of our courses are accompanied by excellent clubhouse accommodations, pro-shops, and tasty food and drink options. Check out a full list of Aurora's golf courses here.

Go FISHING

Cast your line in a few different locations in Aurora. You'll find what you're looking for in three different reservoirs (plus two places that are seasonally filled with native species). Anglers in the metro region know Quincy Reservoir for trout, largemouth bass, perch, and crappie. This peaceful, well-liked reservoir features a soft-pack walking trail and is stocked with trout each season. Clear blue water and white sand beaches (no joke!) may be found at the Aurora Reservoir. This stocked spot is great for fishing in the spring, summer, and early fall.

Eat Outdoors

If a picnic in a park isn't your style, how about dinner at a great restaurant with outside seating? You'll enjoy all of the benefits of dining al fresco without the hassle of cooking or cleanup. You've got the recipe for a wonderful night out when you combine pleasant company, delicious cuisine, and ambiance.

Enjoy a Sporting Event

Whether it’s catching a Major League Baseball game or a Major league soccer match, a sporting event can energize anyone. Attending a game also means time to socialize, which is great for anyone!
