Colfax Canvas Mural Festival

Where: Aurora Cultural Arts District
Experience art in action during Colfax Canvas, Aurora’s annual mural festival in the Aurora Cultural Arts District! Watch talented artists transform walls along East Colfax throughout the week, then celebrate the finished murals on Friday, September 4, with live music, art, community, and all the energy of First Friday. The celebration runs from 4–11 p.m., with free parking throughout the district.

Southlands Wine Walk

Get ready to uncork and unwind at the Southlands Wine Walk this September! Enjoy multiple wine and beer-tasting stations from various vendors as you sip, savor, and stroll along Main Street. Clink a glass or two, or maybe a few!

"Fiesta Patrias"

Where: La Plaza Colorado
Celebrate Mexican culture, tradition, and community at La Plaza Colorado’s annual Fiestas Patrias on Sunday, September 13. Enjoy a full day of live music, delicious food, shopping from more than 100 local businesses, and family-friendly festivities. Admission and parking are free, with the celebration running from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Route 15
When: September 6 - 10
Where: Roshni Healing Arts Sanctuary
Take a ride through stories of connection, community and kindness with Route 15, an immersive theatre production from Roshni Healing Arts Sanctuary. Based on real-life stories from members of the community, the production follows Moe, a Route 15 bus driver on East Colfax, as he encounters people from all walks of life. Through world dance, comedy, and multidisciplinary arts, Route 15 celebrates the people and everyday acts of kindness that bring a community together.

Borrowing Funny
When: September 11 - 27
Where: Vintage Theatre
In the 1990’s, national comic headliner, Tennille Kincaid, is confronted mid-comedy show by hometown comedian, Jacey Weisz, for stealing one of her favorite jokes. After being fired on the spot by business-centric comedy club owner, Reuben Wyatt, and being replaced by overconfident slacker, Byron Keithly, Jacey makes the bold gamble of calling in a local police deputy, Officer Jill Hail, to arrest Tennille for larceny and possession of stolen property. In an effort to save his weekend, Reuben suggests they fight over the material in the first ever head to head comedy kumite, a no holds barred contest that will usher in a new era of modern stand-up comedy.
