10 Years of Stanley Marketplace: From Aviation Factory to Community Landmark

Ten years ago, Stanley Marketplace transformed a historic aviation factory into a vibrant home for local businesses, great food, and community connection. Ten years later, this milestone celebrates the community that has made Stanley what it is today.

Stanley10: August 21–23, 2026

Stanley10 is a three-day celebration of the businesses, makers, musicians, and neighbors who have helped shape Stanley Marketplace over the past decade. From live music and local shopping to incredible food, wellness experiences, and family-friendly events, there's something happening all weekend long.

The celebration kicks off Friday evening with live music on the New Field and a Creator Market featuring handcrafted goods from local artists. Sunday brings Cars & Coffee, Silent Disco Yoga, and Bonez & Brekkie, a community dog walk and breakfast on the New Field. The centerpiece of the weekend is the Taste of Stanley.

As the highlight of the the Stanley10 Celebrations, Taste of Stanley is the perfect way to experience everything the marketplace has to offer! Stroll through the building while sampling bites from Stanley's restaurants, enjoying beer pours and whiskey tastings, shopping with exclusive retail discounts, and meeting the local business owners who make Stanley Marketplace such a unique destination.

Throughout the afternoon, guests can also enjoy live music, retail activations, and special anniversary experiences.

One of Stanley Marketplace's biggest draws is its collection of independently owned businesses, each offering something a little different.

Zero Market makes sustainable living simple with more than 1,200 refillable and low-waste products designed to help reduce everyday waste. If you're looking for a unique gift, Trunk Nouveau features handcrafted jewelry, home décor, art, and carefully curated goods from independent artists and makers. For fashion lovers, True offers a thoughtfully selected collection of women's clothing, accessories, jewelry, and gifts in a warm, neighborhood boutique setting.

Grab a Bite... or Five

Stanley Marketplace has become one of Aurora's favorite food destinations, with everything from casual brunch to elevated cocktails.

Seafood lovers won't want to miss Traveling Mercies, Chef Caroline Glover's intimate oyster and cocktail bar that has quickly become one of the area's standout dining experiences. Beer enthusiasts can stop by Cheluna Brewing Company, Colorado's first Latino-owned brewery, for award-winning Mexican-inspired craft beer, or head to Stanley Beer Hall to sample dozens of rotating taps while enjoying one of the marketplace's largest patios. Brunch is always on the menu at Denver Biscuit Company, where giant cinnamon rolls, biscuit sandwiches, and fried chicken have earned a loyal following. Craving tacos and margaritas? Molino Chido serves authentic street-style tacos with homemade tortillas, along with fresh-squeezed margaritas and an impressive mezcal selection.

More Than Shopping

Beyond great food and retail, Stanley Marketplace is also filled with great experiences.

Book a hands-on cooking class at Create Kitchen + Bar, where date night becomes dinner and entertainment all in one. Or tap into your creative side at Friends of Friends, a welcoming drop-in studio offering pottery painting, jewelry making, collage, and art workshops for all ages.

A Building with History

Long before it became a destination for shopping, dining, and community events, the building was home to Stanley Aviation, a company founded by aerospace innovator Robert "Bob" Stanley. The facility became known for manufacturing ejection seats that protected military pilots for decades.

Rather than demolishing the historic factory after aerospace operations ended, developers gave the building a second life. In 2016, it reopened as Stanley Marketplace, preserving much of its industrial character while creating space for over 50 locally owned restaurants, retailers, makers, and gathering places. As Stanley celebrates its first decade, it's all about celebrating the entrepreneurs, artists, chefs, and neighbors who have turned a historic building into one of Aurora's favorite places to gather.
