Backyard Pitmasters Colorado is an educational and entertainment-driven “Barbecue University” that features a variety of 3-hour classes that teach everyday people the art of smoking great meat in a non-competitive and fun environment at local breweries, distilleries, and other community-driven venues.

Backyard Pitmasters’ “University” classes are the perfect setting for indoor and outdoor hands-on instruction on smoking brisket and other beef, pork, seafood, and fowl cuts.

Experienced pitmasters passionate about BBQ culture teach proven techniques for mastering your BBQ pit in a casual atmosphere. Attendees gain the tools and skills to choose the right meat, trim it, rub it, smoke it, baby it, cut it, serve it, and eat it, as well as impart the finer points on wood selection and smoke profiles, fire ignition tips, heat management, and best practices to ensure a consistent outcome every time.
