Isla Del Encanto Day

Island of Enchantment Day is a city-recognized celebration in Aurora, Colorado, established to honor the vibrant culture, history, and contributions of the Puerto Rican community. Officially proclaimed by Mayor Mike Coffman on July 26, 2025, the day follows Puerto Rico’s Constitution Day (July 25th) and serves as a tribute to the island’s rich heritage and influence across the United States.

Led by Nieves Ministries and the Puerto Rican Chamber of Commerce of Colorado, this commemorative day is highlighted by the Viva La Isla Del Encanto Festival, an event filled with music, dance, food, and cultural displays. Island of Enchantment Day encourages all residents to come together in unity, embracing the spirit and legacy of Puerto Rico while celebrating its impact on the Aurora community and beyond.
