Manos Sagrados
The People’s Building and Manos Sagrados (a new endeavor by former Indie 102.3 DJ Alicia “Bruce” Trujillo) are partnering to bring local and regional music to the East Colfax in Aurora throughout September. The People’s Building will welcome a lineup curated by Manos Sagrados that will feature artists of the community and will also serve as a preview for a new Manos Sagrados venue that will neighbor The People’s Building later this year. Each show’s global music represents a small portion of the communities The People’s Building and Manos Sagrados serve.
This concert series will run for 3 consecutive Fridays in September:
September 1: Cumbia Night with Gio Chamba and Evelyn Soto
September 8: R&B and Indie Alternative with Lady Los and Stevie Gunter
September 15: Modern Ladino and Levant with Nani Noam Vazana and Eye-Yoob
Currently, Manos Sagrados is a booking, management, and consulting house focused primarily on BIPOC, femme, 2SLGBTQ+, and disabled artists, and the live music venue and artist studio space will be the second arm of the venture, opening in late 2023, next door to The People’s Building.
*Doors will open at 6:30, music starts at 7. Tickets will be available at ThePeoplesBuilding.com$15 in advance, and $20 the day of.
