Pollinator Art Workshop: Exploring Bees through Watercolor Illustrations

Join SCRGP staff and artist Faith Williams Dyrsten to learn about the diversity of Colorado bees! Did you know there are more than 1,000 types of bees in Colorado?! Where do we find them, and what behaviors do we look for? Learn how to capture the amazing colors and textures and identify features of these creatures through watercolor by making a custom pocket booklet.

In this workshop, participants will:

Practice using resources to identify bees and insects along the Greenway

Learn watercolor painting techniques.

Create an accordion fold pocket booklet with watercolor illustrations inspired by bees and insects you want to remember
