Fall in love with winter on the prairie and create a miniature birdhouse with festive winter decorations while sipping hot cocoa and roasting smores. After you complete your birdhouse, explore the prairie on your own with a self-guided scavenger hunt. Materials provided are appropriate for children ages 4 and up. Preregistration is required.

Family Make and Take programs offer a space for children and their grownups to connect with natural materials and create together. These self-guided and self-paced programs are designed to provide a creative environment that sparks the imagination. The Gardens provide the space and supplies. You and your family provide ideas and creativity!

Price: $15 per project fee for non-members; $12 per project fee for members. Each project fee includes one miniature birdhouse and access to a variety of materials to use for decoration.

Audience: Families with children ages 4 and up

Registration Instructions: Pre-registration is required. Program registration will not be available onsite.
