Visit Aurora Launches “Cheers Aurora” Digital Brewery Passport to Drive Exploration and Support Local Businesses

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Aurora, Colo. — Visit Aurora is raising a glass to innovation with the success of Cheers Aurora, a gamified digital brewery passport designed to inspire exploration, increase visitation, and support the city’s growing craft beverage scene. Powered by STQRY’s no-code platform, Cheers Aurora transforms traditional brewery hopping into an interactive, citywide experience. Participants visit local breweries and cideries, discover hidden keywords, and unlock digital badges, earning rewards and entries into quarterly prize drawings along the way.

“With Cheers Aurora, we wanted to create something that encourages people to go beyond their usual spots and truly explore the diversity of our craft beverage community,” said Kristin Sutter, Director of Events & Engagement at Visit Aurora. “Gamification was key, it makes the experience fun, engaging, and something visitors want to complete again and again.”

Cheers Aurora requires no app download and is accessible via a mobile browser, making it easy for users of all ages and tech comfort levels to participate. The platform also allows Visit Aurora to make real-time updates and quickly adapt to Aurora’s evolving brewery landscape.

The program currently features 15 participating breweries and cideries across Aurora, encouraging visitors to explore neighborhoods throughout the city. Participants who complete the experience receive a commemorative pint glass and are entered into quarterly grand prize drawings, which may include gift cards, brewery merchandise, and hotel stays.

Cheers Aurora has already proven successful in attracting a wide audience, from residents discovering new favorites to regional visitors and travelers stopping through Denver International Airport. Beyond visitation, the program is fostering collaboration across Aurora’s business community, including cross-promotions between breweries and cideries and the development of new experiences like e-bike tours connecting multiple locations.

One of the program’s biggest advantages is its flexibility. Visit Aurora can refresh the experience each quarter simply by updating keywords and materials, no redevelopment required. This has allowed the organization to expand Cheers Aurora into a year-round initiative driven by both visitor demand and partner enthusiasm.

Following the program’s early success, Visit Aurora is already exploring additional digital experiences using the same platform to further encourage exploration across the destination.
