Visit Aurora Welcomes Brian-Douglas Stanwood Back as Senior Director of National Accounts

Aurora, Colo. — Visit Aurora is pleased to announce the return of Brian-Douglas Stanwood as Senior Director of National Accounts. Stanwood brings more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality and tourism industry, with a career rooted in relationship-building, strategic partnerships, and elevating destinations through meaningful connections. His return to Visit Aurora marks a homecoming, as he previously served on the organization’s sales team and was recognized in 2020 as Colorado Meetings & Events’ Best Supplier of the Year while with Visit Aurora

In his new role, Stanwood will lead national account development efforts, focusing on attracting meetings, conventions, and group business that drive overnight visitation and economic impact for the Aurora community.

Stanwood’s professional background includes leadership roles with Kimpton Hotels, Benchmark Hotels at Cheyenne Mountain Resort, Event Travel Management, and Visit Denver, as well as extensive experience in national and convention sales. Early in his career, he traveled and worked globally with Up With People, an experience that shaped his global perspective and lifelong commitment to cultural connection.
