Rebel Marketplace
When: August 6
Where: Hoffman Heights Library

Aurora Public Library and Rebel Marketplace are bringing a neighborhood farmers market to Hoffman Heights Library! Shop local community vendors, enjoy library programs, and explore late-night library hours from 6–8 p.m. Activities include storytimes, kids’ play areas, and a teen game space, making it fun for all ages!

Open Air Market 
When: August 9th
Where: High Prairie Park

Experience the best of summer at Painted Prairie’s Open Air Market series in High Prairie Park! Browse fresh produce, baked goods, handmade crafts, and unique gifts from Denver’s top vendors. Enjoy breakfast from food and coffee trucks, live music, family activities, and a relaxing morning in the park.

Rescue Puppy Yoga
When: August 9th
Where: Sky Rink at Stanley Marketplace

Come to the Sky Rink at Stanley Marketplace for an uplifting yoga session with Rise Yoga & Wellness and some adorable, adoptable pups from Soul Dog Rescue! Music in the Park: That Eighties Band
When: August 22nd
Where: High Prairie Park

Kick off your weekend with a free Friday night concert featuring That Eighties Band, playing all your favorite '80s hits! Enjoy local food trucks, sweet treats, and refreshing lemonade at the park from 6–8 p.m. Bring your chairs and blankets, and settle in for a fun, nostalgic evening outdoors!

Sounds of Southlands - Premium Diesel 
When: August 7th
Where: Southlands

Southlands is back with Sounds of Southlands. Occurring every Thursday of the month, Sounds of Southlands is a fun event where you can sit back and enjoy local talent while enjoying the summer breeze. Bring your lawn chairs, grab some Fro Yo from Tutti Frutti, and enjoy the jams on Town Square. Happening now until August 7th!

One Night Stand Theater Presents "Dogs and Cats Living Together"
When: August 10 
Where: Vintage Theatre

Experience a hilarious and heartwarming evening as One Night Stand Theater brings tales of pets and their people to life! Join the fun at Vintage Theatre for a collection of witty, touching, and unforgettable performances all about our furry companions. Don’t miss this unique celebration of dogs, cats, and the humans who love them!

2025 DOTSERO Concert
When: August 26th
Where: Stampede

Join On Havana Street for a free DOTSERO concert at The Stampede! Enjoy live Colorado jazz, dancing, and a fun night out. Music from 7–9 p.m., featuring a gift card drawing and street tacos for purchase. Tickets are free but required.

Aurora Pride
When: August 30th
Where: Fletcher Plaza

Have some fun in the sun at Aurora Pride at the new location in the Colfax Art District! From Elmira to Florence Street, catch the Main Stage at Fletcher Plaza, with indoor shows at Monos Sagrados, and a sober space at The People's Building. Join the fun, feel the love, and help keep the pride alive!

Southlands Farmer's Market
When: August 2 - 30
Where: Southlands

Embrace the summer season with a trip to Southland’s Annual Farmer’s Market. Shop local with fresh produce, handmade artisan goods, and more!

Water Activities

Soak up the sun on a sailboat or head out for paddleboard yoga at dusk. If you have your own kayak or canoe, check out Quincy Reservoir! Otherwise, the Aurora Reservoir has on-site paddleboard, canoe, and kayak rentals. Visitors can also use non-motorized boats on the water. If you’re looking for tubing or water skiing, head to Cherry Creek State Park. They have on-site paddleboard, kayak, canoe, and boat rentals. 

Biking and Hiking

There’s no better way to experience the beauty of summer than by biking or walking through Aurora's scenic trails and vibrant parks. From the winding paths at Cherry Creek State Park to the peaceful stretches of the High Line Canal Trail, Aurora offers a variety of routes perfect for everyone of all skill levels.
